We offer a great range of semi—custom designed stationery in our online store , however if you’re after something more specific our bespoke design service could be a better fit.
OUR BESPOKE STATIONERY PROCESS
01 / Invitations are typically sent out around 4 months before the wedding. For bespoke stationery orders we recommend getting in touch with us at least 6 months prior to your wedding date to allow sufficient time for consultation, design, proofing, printing and assembly of your order.
02 / If you are in Blenheim like us we’d love to meet up and chat about the ideas you have for your big day. If not, we’re completely comfortable liaising by email or phone and have done so for many out-of-town weddings and couples overseas. In either case we will get you to complete our quote request form to capture all of the essential details and specific wording for your stationery and discuss the overall look and feel you envision for your wedding day. This initial consult is completely free of charge.
03 / When you’re keen to book in with us we request a non refundable $50 deposit to get started on your stationery design. We will create and email you through a concept design with an exact quote and detailed list of inclusions. We do provide an exact quote with every design concept and can generally adjust inclusions to fit within most stationery budgets, but because of the time dedicated to creating custom designs, please note that all bespoke stationery orders have a minimum spend of $400.
04 / We can develop and refine the design until you are happy with your stationery order. Two rounds of additional proofs are included in the quote price. Additional proofs will be charged at $50 each. Digital proofs will be low resolution for emailing purposes only and are not suitable for print.
05 / Sometimes we are able to provide a printed proof of your approved design so you can see exactly how your invitation will look and feel before proceeding with the full print run, however this is not possible for letterpress or foil printing due to the unique requirements of these printing processes. There is an additional fee of $25 to cover the cost of a printed proof and postage for a digital proof should you request one.
06 / If your invitations or envelopes are being printed with guest names and addresses this is when we would require a finalised list of these details. We have a handy spreadsheet template available on request that you’re welcome to use for this purpose if you don’t already have something like this set up. We use this to send through a full digital proof of every personalised invite/envelope for final checking before we print.
07 / Once approved we will send through an invoice for your order (deducting your $50 deposit), 50% of the invoice is payable to proceed with printing and as confirmation there are no further changes. The balance of the account is due for delivery of your completed order. Please allow between 2-4 weeks for printing, assembly and delivery of your order.
08 / Delivery to one NZ address is included with your order and invitations are delivered completely assembled in unsealed envelopes where possible. We are also happy to purchase postage stamps on your behalf and mail out your stationery if required. This is a popular option for couples based overseas.

STATIONERY TIPS
- If most of your guests are couples or families you won’t need an invitation for every guest. For example : if you are inviting a total of 80 guests you’ll likely only need 45-50 invitations.
- While you might be tempted to lock in an earlier RSVP date to feel organised, we find 6-8 weeks out is a good timeframe to request responses. This still allows plenty of time to chase up a few guests and confirm numbers with venues and caterers. Any earlier than this, couples often find their best intentions thwarted by last minute changes to the guest list or seating plan.
- Check with parents, family members and even social media to ensure you have spelt your guest names correctly.
- Make sure your designated RSVP email is active by sending a test email.
- It’s a great idea to order a few extra invitations as spares or a keepsake.
- If you’re sending out save the dates these can be designed and printed as soon as your wedding date and key vendors are confirmed.
- If you’re not sending save the dates, make a point of mailing your invitations out a little earlier so guests can make travel and accommodation arrangements.
- We can help with any printed stationery or signage you require for on-the-day - from place cards, menus and table numbers to welcome signs, decals, seating plans or any unique special requests you may have.
